Odd, where have I heard that before? Oh, yeah, I have been saying that all along. Hmmm, how interesting. You'd think this winter would shut the global warming fearmongers up, but, even facing the facts presented by Professor Latif, they still cling to their fear mongering.

I just want one of them, any one of them, to show me on their much vaunted climate models this bit of chilly weather. Come on, just one model.

On the bright side, the U.K.'s Climate Change Secretary is still claiming the science is settled, and our President has the CIA diverting their attention and satellites from tracking terrorists so they can provide climate change evidence. Seems obvious why al Qaeda is having a bit more success attacking us lately, since we elected Mr. Appease Them All as our President.

Oh, and those of you in the U.K. get to watch TEN MILLION POUNDS of your tax money go to educate youngsters abroad of the dangers of global warming. Enjoy that thought as you pay your taxes.

I think the height of Al-Qaeda's success was during George W Bush's presidency. Do you remember 9/11?

Vaguely.

I also remember their successes under Bill Clinton. And, I remember how the attacks were curtailed when President Bush instituted the Patriot Act, or, more acurately, Congress did, per his request.

I also remember hearing about threats stopped, and arrests made, under Bush's Presidency. Of course, the Democrats accused him of making them up, to keep us scared. But, suddenly, when Obama was elected, we not only hear about plots, but, they have succeded on U.S. soil. Well, OK, the panty bomber was above our soil, and was not a total success, but, that had nothing to do with the current administration's good work. More like al Qaeda's incompetence, and the action of the passengers.

For the record, first Little Rock, AR, June, 2009 - Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad. Second, Ft. Hood, TX, November, 2009 - Nidal Hasan. Third, Panty Bomber, over Detroit, MI - Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. What did they all have in common? All three were known about, in advance. Abdulhakim was being investigated for going to Yemen, where he was arrested using a Somali passport. Nidal was being investigated for many things, including contact with al Awlaki, and, of course, the ball was dropped. Then Umar, when Obama finally admitted we are at war, though he still called them haters not terrorists.

As I said, the Bush Administration reported a lot of intercepted or disrupted plots, but, none were a success once we found out that this was war. It seems President Obama forgot that lesson.

2001 anthrax attacks. A March 2004 State Department report on "Significant Terrorist Incidents, 1961-2003" quotes then-Attorney General John Ashcroft saying of the letters containing anthrax mailed to various targets: "When people send anthrax through the mail to hurt people and invoke terror, it's a terrorist act." Five people were killed as a result of those letters in the autumn of 2001.

2001 shoe bomber attempted attack. In June 2008, then-Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff described Reid's December 2001 attempt "to blow up a trans-Atlantic plane with a shoe bomb" as an attempt to "carry out terrorist operations for Al-Qaeda."

2002 attack against El Al ticket counter at LAX. In July 2002, Hesham Mohamed Hadayet opened fire at an El Al Airlines ticket counter at Los Angeles International Airport killing two people and wounding four others before being shot dead. A 2004 Justice Department report stated that Hadayet's case had been "officially designated as an act of international terrorism."

2002 DC-area sniper. The state of Virginia indicted Washington, D.C.-area sniper John Allen Muhammad -- along with his accomplice, a minor at the time -- on "an act of terrorism" for one of the murders he committed during a three-week shooting spree across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Muhammad was convicted, sentenced to death, and subsequently executed for the crime.

2006 UNC SUV attack. In March 2006, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill graduate Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar drove an SUV into an area of campus, striking nine pedestrians. According to reports, Taheri-azar said he acted because he wanted to "avenge the deaths or murders of Muslims around the world." Taheri-azar also reportedly stated in a letter: "I was aiming to follow in the footsteps of one of my role models, Mohammad Atta, one of the 9/11/01 hijackers, who obtained a doctorate degree."

Of course, terrorist acts and bombings are not limited to Islamists.

Lucas John Helder (born May 5, 1981) was a University of Wisconsin–Stout college student and Pine Island, Minnesota, resident who earned notoriety as the Midwest Pipe Bomber in May 2002.

Helder's plan was to plant pipe bombs in mailboxes across the United States to create a smiley face shape on the United States map. The bombs, which were packed with BBs and nails, were rigged to explode as the mailboxes were opened. Completed and rigged bombs were found in Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Illinois and Iowa. In Iowa, six people, including four mail carriers, were injured when the bombs detonated. Ultimately, Helder planted 18 bombs and covered 3,200 miles. He was eventually captured in rural Nevada before he managed to complete the full smile. At the time of his arrest, police were looking for an unknown suspect driving around in a black Honda Accord and newspapers reported that he was wearing a Kurt Cobain T-Shirt. The bombings were heavily covered by the United States media.

The 2005 University of Oklahoma bombing occurred on October 1, 2005 at approximately 7:30 p.m. CDT, when a bomb went off near the George Lynn Cross Hall on Van Vleet Oval on the University of Oklahoma (OU) main campus. The blast took place less than 200 yards west of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where 84,501 spectators were attending a football game. The bomber, OU student Joel "Joe" Henry Hinrichs III, was killed in the explosion; no one else was killed.

After the incident, speculation began immediately about Hinrichs' motivation and the number of accomplices, if any. An off-duty police officer noted a discussion Hinrichs had with a local feed store owner about ammonium nitrate and had begun an investigation, one heightened by innuendo regarding the Pakistani heritage of the bomber's roommate. Terrorism-related speculation further erupted when the explosive agent was found to be TATP, the compound used in the July 2005 London bombings, as well as in an infamous attempt to destroy a transatlantic flight by igniting a shoe and by Hamas in clandestine devices intended for detonation by suicide bombers. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and local authorities concluded in 2006 that Hinrichs was alone and had no assistance from terrorist groups, but could not prove or disprove allegations that Hinrichs intended to enter the packed stadium and kill football fans along with himself.

The Seattle Jewish Federation shooting occurred on July 28, 2006, at around 4:00 p.m. Pacific time, when Naveed Afzal Haq shot six women, one fatally, at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle building in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, USA. Naveed Haq has been accused of conducting the shooting, and is currently standing trial. Police have classified the shooting as a "hate crime" based on what Haq is alleged to have said during a 9-1-1 call. King County Prosecuting Attorney Norm Maleng described the shooting as "one of the most serious crimes that has ever occurred in this city".

Talking of watching a government spending tax payers money reminded me of an article I read not long ago where America quite some time ago, have paid the Russians millions of taxpayers dollars for helicopter's to fight in Afghanistan and have yet to see one produced

Sorry, been busy.

The attacks Obama's administration missed were attacks they knew about in advance. And, if we want to compare those types of crimes amongst persons who had not yet come to the attention of the federal government, there is a much longer list I can attribute to the past 13 months.

I was merely making a point I still stand by, under Bush's watch, when they heard about them in advance, they were stopped, under the watchful eye of our current President, the intelligence services are busy verifying global warming, and letting terrorists go right ahead with their plans, even though the government knows about them in advance.
