Ugh! I just about managed to get through about the first ten seconds of both tracks before switching off.

Absolutely. And isn't it about time the UK stopped being one of the main funders of the show- particularly with all the utterly biased bloc voting they have going on. Nearly all the music is shit, has nothing to do with the real music industry, and we already have a proper music industry in the UK that's one of the most successful in the world. Why are we wasting our money on this. I think the main developed European countries should just drop the whole spectacle and let the ex eastern bloc countries have it for themselves- and they can pay for it too.

Angry from Ealing.

You're right Ben. We already beat the rest of Europe hands down in terms of succesful international acts and the quality, vibrancy and diversity of our music scene(s).

Entering shite into the contest is why we dont win. That and no one particularly likes us. Or they like other countries better.

I dont know why the former eastern bloc countries dont ask Mother Russia to take them back and then they can all take part in a pan-Russian federation 'music' contest.

I think every country should contribute the same ammount or not take part at all.

Rant over...

Or at east until I work myself up again! :smt012

I just read this tonight. Hilarious!

Georgia's entry to Eurovision has been banned by Russia because of this lyric:

"We don't wanna put in, the negative move, it's killin' the groove."

Eurovision axes 'anti-Putin' song.
Georgia's entry has been ruled unacceptable by organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, because of some of its lyrics.

Yep! Bring on WW3. Those damn Russkies!

:smt012

That's got to be one of the funniest things I've heard in the news for a while. Either the Georgian's have a brilliant sense of humour, or the Russians are ridiculously over sensitive. I'd probably say both.
