Mark forums read

Postby Persephone on Wed May 13, 2009 12:53 am

I thought I mention this. A couple of times I have tried to use the link ' mark forums read' because I am not around that much lately, but when I press it I get the following message:

Not Found

The requested URL /forums/index-i.html-mark=forums was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.41 Server at http://www.townhallpolitics.com Port 80

Now I am not sure if I am the only one but the link isn't working for me, since quite some time.

Also, the site goes really slow for me. I am not sure if the two have to do with each other.

I am using safari, not firefox this time. Could that be part of the problem perhaps?

Love, K.

K, I'm not sure why the error message pops up but I will have to look into it this weekend when I have some time.

Temporarily you can use the "Mark Topics Read" within each forum itself to achieve the same result, which seems to be working at the moment.

All apologies.

I am having the same problem using IE7. It doesn't really matter though as the only forum I use it on is the music section sometimes. But it only happens when I do it within the forum itself - it works if you do it from the main page.

I am going to try it! I just tried the other option, I mentioned before already, but that one isn't working for me yet unfortunately. It isn't a huge problem, I just thought I mention it. :)

I've got it again.

"Not Found

What to do this time?

I'm going to see if I can mark the threads one by one. Am I the only one who is having this?

Update: I can mark the unread posts one by one in each thread/topic. But not in one go when I am in the board-index.

I have the same trouble P. I can't mark things read unless I'm in a forum. I get the same error notice too.
