Memory cards

Postby ukus on Tue Feb 02, 2010 7:25 am

Excuse me if this is a silly question but you all know I'm a bit slow when it comes to the ol' techi stuff .... anyway my Nephew gave my mum a digital photo frame for Christmas (British hook up electric wise) I want to get them a digital camera and Kodak uses the SD memory cards, which the photo frame says to insert.
Are SD memory cards universal ?

Yes they are Karen, but they come in three different sizes. Most compact cameras (which is what I assume you'll be getting) use mini SD's. However, it doesn't really matter as you can buy card readers to attach to your computer that can transfer data onto the card you want to use. I don't know very much about digital photo frames but I assume you might be able to connect the thing up to your pc via USB anyway, to do image data transfer? If you're buying him a digital SLR, rather than a compact camera, it's more likely to use Compact Flash memory cards (what I use)- which are different to SD memory cards. But either way, the data's always transferable between formats using adapters, card readers etc.
Don't mess with the Bunny.
