When we were out at lunch the other day my friend took out a little gadget, to hang her handbag/purse on. I thought it was a neat idea and was impressed that, although small it held her fairly heavy purse very well.
I didn't know there was such a thing and when I googled there are heaps to choose from.

So anyway I ordered (see below) one each for mum and I...... Have you got a purse hook?

That is a terrific idea - especially in a public loo that has no hook for your handbag. I guess a large 'S' hook would work too...not as fancy, but...

Actually, the decorative part sits on the edge of the table, with the purse hanging down. What would you use for a 'table' in the bathroom stall? I can't think of anything sanitary enough! So maybe the 'S' hook would work better for that! What were you going to hang it from?

I've seen these in catalogs for years and thought they would probably work well, but I've never tried one, and I can't remember ever seeing anybody actually using one.

OK - I see it now - I thought it hung over the back of a chair or summat! :smt006

In the hookless loo stall I would then use an 'S' hook over the top of the door or over the wall to the next stall.

That sounds like it would work - unless the person in the next stall saw the end of the hook over the top of the wall, and pulled it over!

But you just might be able to start a trend! And then you could go into business making fancy-schmancy S hooks! You could make matching sets of the table hook and the S hook, so ladies would be covered for all needs!

(of course, you'd have to pay me a royalty for suggesting it....)

I bought one of those purse hooks for my aunt last year for her birthday. She really liked it and it seemed to work well. I have no idea if she still uses it or if the novelty wore off, but I've been wanting to get one for myself.

I've always found hanging my purse around my neck to work in a pinch if there isn't a hook on the loo door, or if I can't get the straps to stay on the door latch; of course that's not a practical idea if you're carrying a clutch bag...
I have the feeling I would never be able to find an S hook floating around the bottom of my bag, I'm lucky if I can come up with my car keys in a reasonable amount of time.

Tool shed? More like Fort Knox! That's what you need when just about everything you buy is diamond studded from purse hooks, to a solid gold Mac©, to Georgie's collar. With all that sparkle & bling, I bet you must wear shades all the time! :smt018
