They had something similiar in the 70s; it didn't work then either.

They had that on that Does It Work series that I have posted from before (they liked the Ped Egg - do you remember the Hula Chair video?). The woman who tested it didn't have much luck with it - she went down to the hardware store and bought sandpaper in a grade that she thought was closest, and that worked better.

SMOOTH AWAY YIELDS SOME HAIRY RESULTS

I find it amusing that in the commercials where they go over all your other options for removing hair and the drawbacks to each, they conveniently forget one - an electric shaver.

What I'd like them to test is ole Vince's claim that with the Graty he can make linguini, martinis, and bikinis.

You know when you order online there's always some sort of promotion code/ discount code box?

This site I came across lists these codes.
Seems some work, some don't, but what's to lose?

I haven't yet used it myself.

I know I mentioned this before, but back in England during the sixties I used to use a hair remover mitt similar to this one and it worked great! When we came here I couldn't find them and had a friend send me some from 'home'. I saw on channel 13 "Does It Work" last week that the ladies who used it gave it a thumbs down.

I still think 'Ped Eggs' are a guise for a ladies recreational sex tool...

This was just in my Sunday paper.

Does 'Smooth Away' live up to its name?
APRIL 26, 2009

Does it really work? It sure does. Just don't use it on your head.

Product: Smooth Away, a chemical-free hair removal system.

The pitch: A Smooth Away pad made of superfine crystals will safely buff away hair and leave skin soft and smooth.

Price: $9.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond (http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com). Also: Target (http://www.target.com)

Pros: It's less expensive than waxing. It doesn't smell bad like depilatories. And you won't cut yourself shaving.

Cons: Using Smooth Away caused my left forearm to sting, like it had been scratched or scraped. While Smooth Away says it's safe for use on sensitive areas -- upper lip, underarms, bikini line -- it's not meant to be used on your head or a man's beard or by anyone with a skin condition, sunburn, wounds or diabetes.

Bottom line: It works. But it may also make your skin sting and turn red.

Nair doesn't smell bad - plus it has baby oil to moisturize.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't shave my legs. I waxed them for years and now with menopause the hair is so fine and sparse, I shave maybe once a year whether I need to or not. It just isn't visible, so I don't bother.

Wow, I guess I'm not alone, then! I think that if someone put their face close to my legs they might be able to detect a few hairs, but when I'm wearing shorts and the light is reflecting off of them, they look smooth and shiny to me. With nylons on, there definitely would be no sign of anything. I don't know if it was from years of shaving with an electric shaver, or what. If I were to go to the beach or something (which is very rare), I might go over them again with the electric shaver, but other than that, it's more bother than it's worth. I think I'm going through menopause now, so it sounds like it will be even less important.

On the other hand, I shave my underarms with a Silk Effects razor every time I shower.

LOL, I feel better now, Juana. I'm about through menopause, and I'm honestly grateful to be blonde; whilst the hair on your legs disappears, the hair on your face increases. My sister has a wee 'stach now :smt020 Mine doesn't show.
