It's not a sander, it's a grater - even worse!
OUCH !!!

Does 'Smooth Away' live up to its name?
APRIL 26, 2009
Does it really work? It sure does. Just don't use it on your head.
Product: Smooth Away, a chemical-free hair removal system.
The pitch: A Smooth Away pad made of superfine crystals will safely buff away hair and leave skin soft and smooth.
Price: $9.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond (http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com). Also: Target (http://www.target.com)
Pros: It's less expensive than waxing. It doesn't smell bad like depilatories. And you won't cut yourself shaving.
Cons: Using Smooth Away caused my left forearm to sting, like it had been scratched or scraped. While Smooth Away says it's safe for use on sensitive areas -- upper lip, underarms, bikini line -- it's not meant to be used on your head or a man's beard or by anyone with a skin condition, sunburn, wounds or diabetes.
Bottom line: It works. But it may also make your skin sting and turn red.
