Well, he has actually made a lot of similar mistakes, you do know, according to our President we have 60 states?

"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

Personally, I chalk it up to being human, of course, if it were President Bush we were talking about, he's not allowed to make mistakes, because he'd be called stupid.

Actually Glenn Beck did a segment on several mis-statements by Obama Friday, and also excused them. Glenn felt it's perfectly human to make the occaisional mistake as well. (That for all the Glenn Beck haters who think all he does is pick on the President.)

While I can excuse those kinds of comments as being a casual mistake, I do not excuse his outright lies, like when he calls himself a professor, when he was not, and the lies he has made about his healthcare plan, and the lies about the number of jobs "saved or created". And his lies about excluding lobbyists from his administration, and his lies about the health care debate being open and bi-partisan. And his many other lies.

Oh, how about his lies about protecting us from hate crimes, when his Justice Department is ignoring the clear hate crime in St. Louis when SEIU thugs beat up Ken Gladney, a black man while calling him the "N" word? I'm guessing it is only a hate crime if it is a Republican doing it? Gladney's lucky he is not charged with a hate crime for allowing them to call him a "N" word and being beaten.

I guess I must be thick or summat as I cannot hear what word he mispronounced - I watched it twice.

What gets me is the way he gives his speeches - he always looks like he's at a tennis match. He goes from the left to the right, back to the left and then right and so on. Never does he pause in the middle.

It was explained to me on another board - the teleprompters are to his left and right. I think he needs one in the middle. :smt001

Silver, Corpsman is pronounced like COREMAN, he pronounced it corpseman. Again, however, I am inclined to cut the man some slack on that, any one can make that mistake. Many often do.

As often as he likes to make speeches, it happens a lot with him. But, what the hell, he does after all, tell us what is best for us, as he pointed out, it's that he has not talked to us enough, while most of us think he has not listened to us enough.
